Pride of Place is an annual all-island competition run in conjunction with local authorities and aims to recognise improvements made by local communities to create civic pride in their area. The Pride of Place Competition celebrates the efforts and endeavours of communities throughout Ireland, to make their community the best place to live. The competition focus is about people coming together to shape, change and improve the daily lives of people in their communities.
Pride of Place recognises improvements made by local communities to create civic pride in their local area by working together to improve amenities, activities, facilities and the character of their area in a way that generates awareness, respect, and inclusion for every sector in their community. Therefore, what is most important in your submission is showing how you take a whole-of-community approach to the development of your local area.
