Power Up Grant Scheme
As part of Budget 2025, the Government has announced a new €4,000 grant called Power Up, to assist businesses in hospitality, retail and beauty sectors. To apply, ensure you have your MyCoCo user ID and password, which were set up when applying for the Increased Cost of Business Grant. If you have forgotten your password, use the ‘Forgot your Password’ link at the login screen. For any assistance with the grant application process, please contact your local authority.
If you have received the second payment of the Increased Cost of Business Scheme for retail and hospitality, you are eligible to apply for the Power Up grant through the MyCoCo portal by following the instructions provided.
Customers who submitted their ICOB declaration manually through their local authority, rather than via the online ICOB portal, and have received the second payment under the ICOB scheme, should reach out to their local authority starting from November 4, 2024, to obtain the necessary Power Up declaration form.
The only additional information required is a self- declaration confirming that your business is trading and will continue to trade for at least three months following the date of your submission (including those seasonally closing businesses who intend to reopen in Spring 2025).
The Local Authorities will manage the rollout of the grant to eligible businesses.
Registration for Power Up is now open. Businesses must register by the deadline of 8 November 2024. We strongly advise registering early.

Use of the portal is the most effective method for businesses seeking to avail of the grant. However, if you need help, don't hesitate to contact your local authority.

NOTE: As part of the Power Up Grant Scheme, all grant recipients will be published on the local authority website no later than April 2025.
