Parents/Guardian Responsibility
Parents/guardians are responsible for their children in the library, their children's selections and use of library materials and services, including access to the Internet and online resources.
Access to Library Services
You can borrow a maximum of 12 items at any time.
Membership will allow you to use the library services as follows:
Membership Categories
Adult – access to all library collections, services and to the Internet subject to the Terms and Conditions outlined.
Child under 12 – access to the children’s library, to DVDs up to PG rating, and to children’s Internet services. Access to video games is based on date of birth, children over three years of age have access to video games with PEGI 3 rating and those over seven years of age also have access to video games with PEGI 7 rating.
Young Adult 12-14 – access to the children's and young adult library, to DVDs up to a 12 rating, to video games up to PEGI 12 rating and to children’s Internet services.
Young Adult 15-17 – access to the adult library, to DVDs up to 15 rating, and to Internet services. Access to video games is based on date of birth, young adults over 16 years of age have access to video games with PEGI 16 rating.

Public libraries operate within the statutory framework in relation to all services including the Wexford County Council Library Service Child Safeguarding Statement 2022.
