Summer Stars Reading Programme and Activities in Wexford Libraries this Summer.
Summer Stars is the free public library national summer reading programme for children. It runs from June 17th until the end of August. Children throughout Wexford are invited to join the adventure and enjoy reading some of the great books and eBooks available to borrow for free from libraries in Wexford, Enniscorthy, New Ross, Bunclody and Gorey.
Summer Stars is non-competitive. Every child who reads even one book/e-book is regarded as having completed the programme!
To join Summer Stars, all you need to do is visit the library with your child and register them from the 17th of June. Children who register will receive activity books, bookmarks and certificates. There’ll also be competitions and draws for great prizes in all Wexford Libraries throughout the Summer months.

Taking part in the Summer Stars Reading Adventure encourages children to keep reading during the school holidays. This helps them to maintain and improve their reading levels over the Summer break from school. Children who read over the Summer months have a significant advantage over children who don’t when they start school again in late August/early September.
Wexford Libraries are looking forward to welcoming you at your local library to enjoy the Summer Stars Reading Adventure together.
See you soon!
