The Irish Remote Interpreting Service (IRIS) is available free of charge to deaf Irish Sign Language (ISL) users in all five libraries in County Wexford to assist them in accessing our services.
IRIS allows deaf Irish Sign Language (ISL) patrons to pre-book a tablet at their local library to access an Irish Sign Language interpreter via a live video link. This interpreter will facilitate communication between library staff and the deaf ISL patron during their library visit. It will enable users to access the wide range of services provided by Wexford Libraries, for example joining the library or access to computer and printing facilities.
